Megan McIntyre
 Trainer/Owner

A Long Island native, Megan Mcintyre has been riding for over 32 years, and has trained and/or showed at the country’s most impressive show rings, including equitation championships such as Capital Challenge, Pennsylvania National Horse Show and the Washington International Horse Show.  She also has years of experience on the winter circuits, including WEF, HITS Ocala and HITS Thermal.

Megan has trained under the tutelage of some of the nation’s most impressive riding professionals in all three rings.  Megan began her horse training career riding, teaching and training for local trainers on Long Island. She then went to work as a barn manager for Andre Dignelli of Heritage Farm in Katonah, New York. She was also fortunate to have trained with one of today’s leading hunter riders, Sandy Ferrell.  Megan spent several years in Arizona training and riding for Becky Warner of Morning Shadows Farm, working with junior and amateur riders from short stirrup to high Junior/A/O jumpers.  Most recently, Megan was assistant trainer to equitation trainer Frank Madden at the prestigious Old Salem Farm in North Salem, NY. When she left she decided to branch out on her own creating McIntyre Show Stables back on Long Island at the beautiful Old Westbury Equestrian Center.
